Technical Characteristics of Lotus F1 Team E20

As the Lotus concern is at a peak of its development right now, they are focusing many of their resources and finances on the development of new racing cars. The consumer models are also being developed right now, but since the company got a new racer in the team and also due to the recent winnings of Lotus on various competitions, it is not the time for Lotus to loose its grip on races.

Therefore we have decided to give some key technical features of the number one race car, a heart of the Formula one team – the Lotus F1 Team E20. This car is simply designed for speed. It posses the most modern transmission, which has a seven-speed semi-automatic gearbox (with one reverse gear). The gearbox is in the case made of titanium, with stepless switching system, which allows you to minimize the time needed for shifting the gears.

Concerning the braking system, the car has all it needs for safe slowing. The breaking system has carbon discs and pads and also calipers and cylinders produced by AP Racing. The engine of the car has eight cylinders and 32 valves. The engine has a capacity of 2.4 liters – the perfect number for the races. This is one of the top cars designed for races and thus it will bring Lotus to the victory.
