Press Conference With Lotus Team about Constructors’ Championship
Recently the Constructors’ Championship has started and of course Lotus was participating. Currently they hold the fourth position, and thus we talked with some people from the company to give us their insight about the event.
“Of course we are disappointed that we missed the third position – says the head of the Lotus team, Eric Boullier at the press service of the team. – However, we are very close to it, and have established a good lead over the fifth place. Whatever comes, we are determined to succeed. If we can continue to develop and force to work effectively on the track all our updates, we will defend the current position. Not sure whether we will occupy the third or fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship – the fight of the season is very dense, but I am confident that our team is able to join the fight for the podium”.
On the eve of the Hungarian weekend Lotus F1 technical director James Allison has expressed his confidence that the team will be competitive in the “Hungaroring”, and the team fits the characteristics of the current track cars from Enstone, especially in hot weather. “On Saturday before the race, it is very important to make a good starting point, it is desirable in the first row – quotes Ellison British Autosport. On this narrow, winding road it is difficult to overtake, so the results are very dependent on skills”.
