Why Lotus Stays a Medium Car Producer

October 13, 2012 at 05:59

Lotus car company continues to surprise people with its unusual approach of building sports cars, and, most importantly, produces such machines that cause a wide range of fans of sport cars to have genuine interest. The volume of production in the company is at the level so that it can not be considered a major producer. But in such a state, it remains for a long time, more will be said, from its very beginning. Let me remind those who forgot: once in the late 50’s and 60’s in England, there were many small companies, which collected the cars almost manually. For them, there was even coined a special term: Back Yard Builders. This can be translated as “the enterprise of artisanal assembly”. It is believed that this phenomenon already has to go down in history. However here and there are such companies, and the company Lotus – a convincing proof!
