Malaysian car-maker Proton, which is a part of a conglomerate DRB-HICOM, has invested in Lotus 300 millions in the last year. However, it has not helped the brand to end up in the gains, despite all of the achievements of the company on the competitions. It appears, that winning of the races is still not enough, because they do not give the needed boost to the sales of the Lotus cars in the consumer sector. In fact, Lotus has experienced a drop in sales over the last years.
