Lotus Will Use Double DRS Until Its Complete Abolition

Lotus Formula One team management has decided to continue to engage in the process of improvement of the double DRS despite the predicted future ban, under the information, which was published by the popular car news magazines, the recent future of the ban is quite near, as the proposed date is somewhere in the dates of the following season. This information has been gathered and reported with reference to the technical director and head of the “Lotus”, as it was written in the publication of Autosport.

The idea of usage of this technology was borrowed from the first users of DRS double – the teams from Estonia at W03 Mercedes AMG cars of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg. Specialists note that due to the new product “Lotus” E20 can add about 10 miles per hour on the straight sections.

The first tests were double DRS took part were on the track at Hockenheim, after which the novelty was installed in the car of Kimi Raikkonen.
