Dispute Regarding the Brand “Lotus” and Brand “Team Lotus” Ended

Company Proton, Group Lotus, Malaysia Racing Team and its owner Tony Fernandes are pleased to announce that the legal dispute before the Court of England in relation to the brand ” Lotus” brand and “Team Lotus” has ended with the settlement agreement of the parties with a number of additional conditions. Here we present some details about this event, which happened in the recent past, particularly spring of year 2012.

Terms of the settlement are confidential, but they show that the brand of “Lotus ” was reunified under the sole ownership of Group Lotus. It also includes the right of ownership of “Lotus” to all related “Team Lotus ” names in Formula One motor racing.
