Here is a small quatation of what is written in the official press release: “We know that Lotus may be of a great value to Proton. Lotus – it is a cult brand with global presence and positioning, as well as it is managed by the talented people with unrivaled expertise in the design of cars and technical characteristics.”

It is an interesting fact that the statement came from the previous owner of the British brand Lotus – the Proton, instead of the current – DRB-Hicom Group. Despite this, it seems that the future of Lotus is yet defined. However, let us see whether the company will pour money into the development of new models, because at the moment no new investments were made.
