The Debut of Lotus Elan Is Postponed

Being a leader in the racing car market, Lotus still manages to be at the forefront in the innovations in the auto industry and has also been the concern, which introduced the largest number of new models. The data is relative to the size of the company, as we know the giants in the industry can make bigger number, but if Lotus would have been the same size as they are, it would outnumber them few years ago already.

Therefore, Lotus had an intent to introduce new concept lately. During the autumn of last year’s at the International Paris Motor Show, the Lotus company has shown a whole scattering of various concepts, one of which was a reborn sports car, called Elan. This car was believed to be very popular in the market, and thus the headquarters wanted it to be launched into serial production in the beginning of 2013.

But now, due to several circumstances the company’s management plans have changed. However, we want to assure our reader that this step was taken not only because of the bad events, but also because of positive ones, which required attention immediately. Thus, according to the publication Car and Driver, the launch of a series of Lotus Elan postponed until at least 2016, to extend the life cycle model of Evora, to be replaced by a new Elan and planned.
