The famous sports car manufacturer has developed a new way of the car production. It is connected to the new material, which will soon be used in the production of all the cars of this concern. The material is known as the carbon fiber and has the same density and durability as the steel and in some points it is even better, as it is more elastic and has lower weight. Thus the company has tried to use it in the production and was satisfied with the results.

The carbon allowed to lower the weight of this car for 105 kilos and as it was reported this number was drawn when still not the whole body of the car was changed with carbon.

As the headquarters note, the Lotus manufacturers admit the better condition of the new material. Carbon material will be used further in the production, though at the same time it means that the manufacturing facilities will have to adjust the production process. In addition, new suppliers will be found, but Lotus CEO says it is not going to be a problem.
